I am a freelance writer and photographer with a penchant for adventure, health, fitness, sustainable travel and tourism, business and branding, sports and how-to. My words and images have appeared in a wide range of media including national and international editorial print publications and online outlets, long and short form brochures, visually stunning direct marketing and advertorial campaigns, a variety of corporate communication materials and in video and radio programming.
I have been recognized for my fine art and editorial image making and received recognition by WIPI (Women in Photography International) for my image of Tinque, Peru - a small mountain village in the Southern Andes. I was also lucky enought to attend The Banff Centre's National Geographic Adventure Workshop and work alongside distinquished photographers Bill Hatcher and Gordon Wiltsie. I am continuing on in this vein and currently working on a documentary film project.
I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Resort/Institutional Management and a minor in Nutrition and it gives me an edge when it comes to a broad understanding of tourism and travel. I continue to hone my craft with course work at UCLA. In my spare time, I seek adventure and try to stay fit teaching spinning, yoga and skiing.
